Rick Blanton 

Council Member Blanton, elected for service in 2000, is now a veteran member of the City Council.  Rick, a native of Lakeland, Florida, reloacted his young family to be near family ties and business interests in 1999.  His wife, Diana an Ohio-native, is currently both homemaker and caretaker for their active young boys, Mitchell and Matthew.  Having attended Melborne and Cornell, Rick is currently a Vice President for Georgia Foods Systems, Inc.  Blanton takes an active interest in economic development opportunities as well as business retention and recruitment for Madison.
