Exhibitor Information


Location
Town Park, Downtown Madison.  Click here for directions to Madison.

Time
Friday set-up is 6:00-8:00 p.m.  Saturday set-up begins at 7 a.m. and must be completely set up for viewing by 9:30 a.m.  Please note: festival area is not enclosed but overnight security will be provided.  All vehicles must be out of exhibit area by 9:00 a.m.  Exhibits must remain in place until at least 
4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Exhibitor Fee
l Entry fee for each 10' x 10' booth is $60. 

l

There is an additional fee $25 for electricity (must supply own extension cord) and supply  is limitedEvery effort will be made to accommodate the request, however it is not guaranteed.
l


Checks for the wrong amount, post-dated, or returned unpaid by the bank will void show eligibility.  Application must have official U.S. postmark no later than midnight March 1, 2010.

 

Eligible Items
MadisonFest features a plant sale of native species plants; heirloom plants; and hard-to-find perennial flowers; and herbs.  All media accepted.  No manufactured or kit items will be accepted.  Vendors displaying unacceptable merchandise will be asked to leave the show.  All work must be handmade for sale by exhibitor.  No agents or representatives permitted.

Booth Space


l



Total booth size for exhibitors is 10' x 10'.  No displays may exceed boundaries.  Any exhibitor needing additional space will be expected to reserve two (or more as needed) spaces.

Tents are required and must be stabilized.

l


All display tables must be professionally constructed and skirted.  Vendors must supply own display tables, props, and chairs.

l
All booth space will be designated on street surface and grassy landscape areas. Placement is the decision of event management.

Promotion
The show will be promoted state-wide in a variety of media including radio, magazines, newspapers, and the internet.  In addition, posters will be distributed throughout the state.

Application Process for Vendors

l Application deadline is March 1, 2010.

l

Notification of acceptance will be mailed the week of March 8, 2010.
l




The Madison Fest Arts & Crafts Show is a juried show.  Applicants should complete an application (download a PDF or request an application by mail) and submit at least two color photographs of current work and one of the display as it will be exhibited.  Two or more photos should be of current work and one or more photos should be of artist at work in his or her studio.

l

Color copies of photos, digital photos on CDs, photos on an accessible web site, VHS videos, and DVDs are acceptable.  Photographs should be representative of the nature and quality of the work to be exhibited.

l


Return application with appropriate photographs and fees.  Applications without photographs will not be considered.

Jury, Notification, Withdrawal


l


Decisions by the jury are based on your photos and information provided on your application form.  Please send the best photos you have available.

l

Selection is based on quality and skill in workmanship, original and creative ideas, and attractiveness of display.

l

Acceptance and non-acceptance letters will be mailed the week of March 8, 2010.  Results will not be given by phone.  All decisions of the Jurors are final.

l
Refunds for non-accepted applicants will be mailed with non-acceptance letters.  No other refunds will be given.

l

Acceptances or non-acceptances absolutely will not be confirmed or discussed by phone.
l

If you receive a non-acceptance letter, you may write the Madison Fest staff for the reason you were denied entry into the show.  Please note that the City of Madison is not the Madison Fest Jury.

Additional Information
Adjacent to the Madison Fest Arts & Crafts Festival will be the Third Annual Home and Garden Expo.  In addition to the Expo, there will be concerts, a baking contest, a children's area, and more.  For more information call 706-342-1251 ext. 206
