Main Street Advisory Board
Since being selected as a Main Street in 1984, Madison Main Street has been annually certified as a National and Georgia Main Street. As such, the city funds a full-time management position to coordinate and implement the Main Street Four-Point Approach®.
The Main Street Advisory Board:
- Advises the Director on downtown issues and opportunities
- Assists with development and implementation of Main Street’s annual work plan
- Provides leadership and support for Main Street partners, programs, projects, and promotions
Our Vision for Downtown Madison
Promote the continued development of Downtown Madison, Georgia, as a strong economic engine for Morgan County, while preserving the historical integrity and small-town character of the city.
Main Street Mission Statement
Madison Main Street will promote the city as a destination for arts, architecture, antiques, dining, and family entertainment, as well as a business center. Retail, professional, service, and hospitality businesses will be fostered as downtown continues to grow into a cultural and retail magnet for visitors, tourists, and residents alike.
