GA 83/W. Washington St. will be hard closed Wednesday, November 3 (7am-5pm) from Academy St to Thomason St.
We will utilize a soft closure on GA 83/W. Washington St. from the S. Main St. light to EZ Bottle liquor store. There will be no thru-traffic allowed on GA 83/W. Washington St. between the soft closure. Traffic on side streets within the soft closure that make it to GA 83/W. Washington St. will be directed away from the hard closure.
Four officers will be working this detail along the length of the soft closure. Truck traffic will be detoured utilizing VMS boards set up on GA 83 at Sandy Creek Rd., Eatonton Rd. at Madison Bypass, and the GA 12/GA 83 split.
Academy St will also be closed on the same date between 11 a.m.- 9 p.m. between Kolb St. and Porter St. Two officers will be working this closure along its length.
